I am proud to have begun writing for TPS, an Israeli news service from which news websites around the world can pick up and publish articles. I am curious about what you think.
This past Sunday, Jerusalem Day, saw two of my articles go up onto the TPS site. The first was picked up by an Israeli and an American news outlet, and the second article by an Australian one.
They discuss two different aspects of Jerusalem Day —
- the first, why people march with flags or oppose marching with flags, in their own words;
- the second, people remembering what it was like for them over the eleven days of serious violence last year in Lod, the attacks against the Jews having begun on Jerusalem Day 2021.
I am curious about two things, maybe more, but two stand out for me:
- Do you find me giving a balanced presentation of the issues about which I write, or do you think my bias is obvious or, alternatively, that I am too balanced, perhaps, and not taking a stand on something about which a stand should be taken? My goal is to present readers with enough context and information so that they will be able to come to their own conclusions. What are your thoughts on this?
- Do you take issue with something I wrote. Do you think I misunderstand the situation in some way?
Here are the two links. I invite you to click on them and read the articles and then put your thoughts into the comments section here, below this post. I will respond and anticipate an interesting discussion.
